Update :)

Hello! Can I just say how happy I am that is Friday finally!  Mike has just survived his first round of tests and quizzes. He is doing very well in dental school so far all A's and one B so I am very proud of him! He did however bring home a skull last night for "study" purposes, but I don't think chasing Zeke around the house with that gross thing is really considered studying!

I am going to start tutoring underprivileged pre-school children that are staying in the emergency family shelter downtown and at the Salvation Army starting Tuesday, September 28. I had a chance to go down to the Raleigh Rescue Mission and meet with the volunteer coordinator there and get a tour of the facility. It really makes me realize how very lucky we have it!

So, the news everyone has been waiting for. After some lengthy discussions, Mike has decided to begin the application process to join the US Navy. If accepted, he would continue on with school as planned, and then once he graduates from UNC, he will attend ODS, and then be assigned a duty station. His application has been completed and submitted and he will have a physical performed this coming Monday. We should know whether or not he is accepted by the end of the month as long as everything is processed ok. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this time!
