Mike was recently elected to the ASDA position in his class, one of two slots available. His friends rallied around him to help perfect his "campaign". They brought in Krispy Kreme donuts by the dozens and handed out cards to fellow dental students as they entered the classroom, describing why they should vote for Mike. The votes were tallied and the announcement made the following day and he, along with fellow classmate, Justin, were elected to represent the UNC Dental Class of 2014 in the American Student Dental Association. Needless to say I am a very proud wife and look forward to seeing what great things are ahead for Mike through this organization. We are still currently waiting to hear back from the Navy and it seems to have turned into the longest months of waiting ever. Fingers crossed we at least hear something back before the end of the year.
Two weekends ago I had the pleasure and honor of throwing my sister a baby shower in Fayetteville for my future niece, Ava Marie. Ava is expected to arrive sometime at the end of December or early January and we all cannot wait to meet her. Several of Rebekah's closest friends and family showered her with more pink clothes than I have ever seen in one place! We all had a great time and it was nice to see so many people come out and share the afternoon with us. Here are some of the pictures from her shower.
