Prévoir Photography was founded as an entity of Prévoir Special Events just this past June! Although Erin is the one behind the camera, she couldn't do it all without her husband Mike and fantastic business partner, Stacey. Our goal with this blog is to share with you our current photo projects, every day happenings and stories of us and our wonderful clients. We hope our love for photography shines through and you enjoy what you see. We welcome any feedback and would love to hear from you! Enjoy :)

Happy New Years Eve!

Again we have been so slack about updating this blog timely. I think I am going to make it my New Years Resolution to update this more! In a nutshell, this year has flown by. It seems like just yesterday I was talking with my best friend Jennifer who now lives in Canada about our first annual girls trip/reunion we were going to be taking in February 2010 to Las Vegas.

This tripped honestly changed my life in many ways thinking back on it now. I was reunited of course with all of my college friends, but also with my now very dear friend Anna who lives in Raleigh, as well as a lifelong friend from high school, Megan Schmoldt. At this point in my life, I had decided I wanted to move back to NC ( I was still living in Philly at the time) and was in limbo about when I would be able to transfer with my job. We finally all arrived in Vegas, and honestly it was all I could to not cry when I saw Jennifer's face at the airport because it had been almost a year since I had seen her and she honestly has been my rock over the years.

We checked into our hotel, The Wynn (AMAZING!) and the unpacking and catching up began. I have been close to most of these girls for several years now, but this trip brought us most closer, especially my relationship with Anna, Megan and Kim. Needless to say, we had a great time in Vegas and have memories that will last forever! And one of those for me, ironically doesn't really have anything to do with all of the girls,  but from a text message I received from my mom while I was there.

I was sitting at breakfast with some of the girls, and I get this text message from my mom and all it says is " I have some news". Ok, my first thought is that something is wrong and instantly go into panic mode in Vegas. Finally after a few messages back and forth I just decide to call her. You want to know what she tells me?! "Oh it's not that big a deal, I just wanted to let you know I am trying to set you up with someone from Chapel Hill". One, a Tarheel? My mom would actually put aside her views about UNC and allow me to date someone from there! He must really be something let me tell you for her to do that!! Anyways back to my reaction. All I could think was really mother, you are trying to hook me up while I am in Vegas?? Talk about timing. So, I did what any good daughter would do and brushed her off, rolled my eyes and went back to the table to share with the girls what had happened.

Well, flash forward about 9 months and that guy is now sitting across from my working on the website for Stacey and my start up company, Prévoir Special Events. He is quite an amazing man and I am very lucky to have him in my life. He took his break from school to learn html and code and built a beautiful website for us that we launched last night. Thank-you honey I know how much work you put into the site and I am very grateful for it!

In case you might be a little behind I will just go through the highlights of the holidays real quick :)

*Thanksgiving we spent in Fayetteville with my family and had a relaxing day.
*Mike finished his first semester of dental school with a 3.95 GPA way to go!! Classes resume for him on Monday, Jan 3rd.
*Christmas we went to Seattle to visit Uncle Phil and Aunt Akina and Mike's mom and middle brother Marc flew in as well. We had a GREAT trip and want to go back very soon, thank-you so much for having us! That was my first trip to Seattle and I was amazed how green and beautiful everything is even in winter!

*I mentioned earlier that Mike was working on a website for Stacey and I. We have started our oven events planning company and are currently hard at work getting that off the ground and are very excited to see what 2011 holds for Prévoir Special Events. You can check out the site that Mike built at www.prevoirspecialevents.com and we are also on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/prevoirspecialevents?ref=sgm) and twitter (@prevoirevents). I am still working at CH Robinson for now and will celebrate my three year anniversary there on Jan 7th.

We hope everyone has a great New Years Eve and New Year and love you all! See you in 2011! And sorry this was so long and if you read the whole thing thanks :)
